Blackburn -- David R. Blackburn, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away Monday morning, March 31, 2003 while being treated at Lovelace Medical Center for numerous Medical conditions. After he graduated from University of New Mexico, with a Bachelors Degree in Business, his primary occupation was land agent / consultant in acquiring real estate property, licenses / permits, and right of ways pertaining to various pipeline expansions. He is survived by his father Ralph L. Blackburn and his wife Karolyn, sister Lois Ann Pemberton and husband Todd; nephew, Benjamin James Pemberton and partner of many years Christine Ryan and daughter, Michelle Ryan; nieces, Michelle Yingling and Christin Yingley and brother-in-law, Mike Yingley, along with other close living relatives and friends. His family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made in his name to National Kidney Foundation of New Mexico, P.O. Box 14238, Albuquerque, New Mexico, 87191. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, April 4, 2003, 2:00 p.m. at The Double Shelter at Elena Gallegos Picnic Area off of Simms Park Road, off of Tramway. A reception immediately following the service, at the Quarters BBQ Restaurant, 4516 Wyoming Blvd. N.E. In honor of David's memory, Hawaiian shirts are suggested; one may be provided upon request.
