Trinosky -- Dr. Donald L. died on Thursday, April 3, 2003."Kindly Doctor Don" was born and attended high school in LaCrosse, Indiana, where he was valedictorian of his graduating class. Doc played on the varsity baseball team and was captain of the basketball team."Kindly Doctor Don" graduated from Indiana University School of Medicine where he played baseball. He was a Captain and Medical Director with the US Army at the Army Medical Hospital in Kitzengen, Germany. Doc moved to Albuquerque in 1956 when he opened his practice at Medical Arts Square, and continued his practice until June of 2002. His brother, Dr. Frank Trinosky, who preceded him in death, joined him in practice at La Mesa Medical Center in 1961. Doc provided medical care to many people who were unable to pay for his services. Donald was an avid skier and volunteered many years with La Madiera and Sandia Ski Patrol. He took great pride in supporting the Lobo Athletic Program and was a member of the booster club. He was a season ticket holder for both the Lobo men's basketball and football, since the late 1950's. The Kindly Doctor is survived by his wife Shelley and their son Kyle C. Trinosky; his son, Kim S.Trinosky and partner, Shirley Griggs; daughter, Krista Pickett and Gavin Pickett. Grandchildren are Jenna Pickett, Colleen Griggs and Carla Griggs. He is also survived by his brother Gene Trinosky and wife Mary and their children Kenny and Jackie, all residing in California. Nieces are Anne Kevin Nichols, of Boston; Patricia Lind, of Colorado; Susan Ingles, of California; and Beth Gossett, of Albuquerque. A special thanks to Millie Coffman for 28 years of dedicated service to Dr. Don. Friends may visit French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel, on Monday, April 7, 2003 from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. A celebration of his life will be held Tuesday, April 8, 2003 at 11 a.m., also at French Mortuary. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Dr. Donald L.
