Gallegos -- Mary Ester Gallegos, 92, a resident of Albuquerque, formally of Moriarty, NM, passed away Friday April 25, 2003. She was born January 21, 1911, to Felipe and Flora (Torrez) Alderete in Punte De Agua, NM. She was married to her late husband, Fidel Gallegos November 5, 1932 and they lived in Moriarty until his passing in 1993. She is survived by their daughters, Rita White of Albuquerque, Josie Padilla and her husband, Ramon of Albuquerque, Mollie Candelaria and her husband, Robert of Tucson, AZ, also surviving her are her 18 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her daughter Francis Perea, two grandchildren, Stephen and Nicholas Candelaria and her son-in-law, David White. Mary was a member of Our Lady of Annunciation Catholic Church, she was a loving mother, grandmother, great-great grandmother and friend, she will be missed by those who knew and loved her. A rosary will be recited Sunday April 27, 2003, 7:30 p.m. at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Moriarty. A mass will be celebrated Monday April 28, 2003, 9:00 a.m. at the Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, with Father Anthony Martinez Officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Catholic cemetery in Moriarty, NM. Pallbearers will be, Ramon Padilla, Joseph Padilla, Robert Jude Candelaria, Anthony Candelaria, Christopher Candelaria, Charles John Candelaria. Honorary Pallbearers will be, Florenio Aldereta and Joseph Ryan Valley. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Carmelite Monastery in Santa Fe, NM- 1-505-983-7232.
