Gutierrez -- Ruth Aragon Gutierrez, 83, a native New Mexican, died Monday, April 28, 2003. She is survived by her son, Miguel P. Trujillo and wife, Mary Beth Patterson of Mt. View, CA; daughter, Juanita Gurule and husband, Al of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Lori Trujillo of San Marino, CA, Lisa Trujillo Golden and husband, Rickey of Berkeley, CA, John Henry Gurule, Theresa Von Antropoff and Matthew Gurule; great-grandsons, Zachary Winton, John Paul Gurule and Christoph Von Antropoff, Jr.; sister, Bernice Chase-Adams and husband, Dow of Albuquerque; and numerous nieces, nephews and family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Gutierrez; parents, Feliciano and Eva Bent Aragon; siblings, Isabel Espinosa Beard, Lucille Aragon Mares, Conrad Aragon, Jess Aragon and Philip Aragon. Ruth was a member of our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, Catholic Daughters of America, Altar Guild, Legion of Mary Society, Auxiliary member of VFW for 35 years, and was active in the Highland Senior Citizens Center. She enjoyed life, loved dancing, New Mexico Art and music. Ruth was a direct descendant of Charles Bent, first Territorial Governor of New Mexico. Rosary will be recited Thursday, 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel. Mass will be celebrated Friday, 10:00 a.m., at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 4020 Lomas NE. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
