Kennedy -- Jack J. Kennedy, an Irish American Catholic, finished his life Tuesday, April 29, 2003. He will be joining his sons, Jay and Billy, with their heavenly father. Jack is survived by his beloved wife, Florence, of 57 years; his daughter, Muffin Kennedy Menicucci and husband, John and grandchildren, John, Janea Menicucci-Albers, Joseph and Jason Menicucci; daughter Pinkie Kennedy Neff and husband, Greg and grandchildren, Paula Neff Jernigan, Tricia Neff Sena, Kim and Steven, all of Albuquerque; daughter-in-law, Mary Blake and grandson, Jay Kennedy of Missouri. His sister, Dorothy Kennedy Farley of Plainfield, IL; brother-in-law, George Schoenfeld of Fort Meyers, FL; and numerous nieces and nephews, also survive Jack. Jack grew up in LaGrange, IL. He attended LT Jr. College and Northwestern University. Jack served in the US Army signal core in WWII. Jack was an accountant and worked for NM State government as a Director of Minerals for New Mexico Land Office until his retirement. Jack was an usher at Annunciation Church for over 30 years. He was the first President of the Annunciation Holy Name Society. He served as President of the Pius Home and School Association, The Serra Club, Sertoma Club, The Hibernian Association, New Mexico Mining Association and many other civic organizations. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He had a great sense of humor, and always had a smile on his face. He greeted everyone with Top of the Morning to you, its a beautiful day in Chicago. Golfing, bowling, fishing and watching numerous sporting events were among his favorite activities. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 8:30 a.m. Friday, May 2, 2003, at Our Lady of the Annunciation Catholic Church, 2621 Vermont NE, with Rev. Ronald L. Bruckner, Celebrnt. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be John Menicucci, Jr., Joseph Menicucci, Jason Menicucci, Patrick Albers, Stephen Neff, Brian Menicucci, and Kevin Menicucci. Honorary pallbearers will be former and current ushers at the 12 oclock Mass, Johnny Romero, Henry Geissler, Tony Romero, Pat Corrigan, Bud Keehan, Mark Menicucci, Max Dominguez, and Bill Spreyer. Friends may visit French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel, Thursday, May 1, 2003, from 6:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The family wishes to thank the wonderful Caregivers at Bellamah House; Mary, Inel, Francine, Diane, Marylyn, and Ma; and Dr. Felix Cerna and Lovelace Hospice for their loving care of Jack in his last days.
