Chavez -- Donna L. Chavez, 43, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, died Friday, June 20, 2003. She is survived by her parents, Preciliano and Celina Chavez of Albuquerque; sisters, Lucy Vasquez and husband, Dan of Albuquerque, Rosemary Cordova and husband, Mike of Lake Mary, FL and Frances Ann Gonzales of Aurora, CO; nieces, Michelle Vasquez of Albuquerque, Danielle Gonzales and Antoinette Gonzales, both of Aurora, CO; nephews, Christopher Vasquez of Albuquerque, Eric Cordova and Jason Cordova, both of Lake Mary, FL; and many, many friends. Donna was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church and Church of the Risen Savior. She was a volunteer for Carrie Tingley Hospital, worked for New Vistas Independent Living Center and was a member of the Spina Bifida Association of New Mexico Inc. Donna fought a courageous battle with a lifelong illness. It takes many stars to light the sky and Donna now you are now one of them. Rosary will be recited Sunday, 3:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel. Mass will be celebrated Monday, 10:00 a.m., at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1860 Griegos Rd. NW. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, you may make memorial contributions to the Spina Bifida Association of New Mexico Inc, 1127 University Blvd. NE, 87102. French Mortuary 1111 University Blvd. NE 843-6333
