Vargas -- Mr. Frank B. Vargas, 87, passed away at 2:18 a.m. on July 18, 2003. Frank retired from the Santa Fe Railroad Co. in 1978. He is survived by his son, Frank M. Vargas, Jr. and wife, Donna; son, Ernest M. Vargas and wife, Juanita; daughter, Eleanor Cortez; daughter, Clara Garnand and husband, Robert; daughter, Angie Jaramillo and husband, Tino; daughter, Diana Vargas; daughter, Helen Vargas, and their families. Frank was blessed with 51 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren, and three great great-grandchildren. The love of his entire family will rise with him on this blessed day. A Rosary for Mr. Vargas will be recited on Sunday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. with visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Salazar & Sons Mortuary. Funeral Services will be held on Monday at the Church of the Ascension where the Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Isaac Marquez, Daniel Ramirez, Lee Cuellar, Joseph Candelaria and Steve Cortez. Honorary pallbearers will be Andrew Chavez, Chris Cortez and Gary Cortez.
