Casias -- Sharon Kay Casias, a resident of Rio Rancho, passed away on June 22, 2003. Sharon was born on January 21, 1952 in Seattle, Washington to Edwin and Lois Wangen. She was very fond of doing needlepoint, cross-stitch, quilting and sewing. Sharon was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Seven Bar Loop Stake Center, where she was extremely active in many church activities. She was a very loving daughter, mother, and grandmother and will deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Sharon was preceded in death by her father, Edwin Wangen; and her niece, Ashley Jensen. She is survived by her mother, Lois Wangen; her five children, Maria Reed and husband, Roy, Ramon Casias III, Kay Thompson and husband, Jeremy, John Casias, and Sever Casias; sister, Toni Hamilton and husband, John; brothers, Mark Wangen, and Lonnie Wangen and wife, Dee; grandchildren, Lily Montoya, Nicole Reed, and Jermiah Thompson; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and many special friends including, Tracy Conrad, Sally Brooks, Delpha Hall, and Terry Holt. A Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 26, 2003 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Seven Bar Loop Stake Center (Ellison @ Seven Bar Loop) in Albuquerque. Funeral Services will follow also at the church at 11:00 a.m. with Kelly Nielsen, presiding. Immediately following the services, Sharon will be laid to rest at Vista Verde Memorial Park.
