Robbins -- Roy S. Robbins, January 1, 1926 - August 16, 2003. Graduated Thiel College 1949; married Jo Fleischer 1950. Roy considered the seminary and served his church for many years as organist, but his calling was to teach. He began his career in Hanover, PA and after he and Jo moved their family to Albuquerque in 1965, he taught at Ernie Pyle and History at Rio Grande HS. He also taught evenings at TVI. He retired from teaching after his wife's death in 1983. Roy was a kind, gentle soul who loved his students, his animals, and going out to eat. He never met a buffet he didn't like! He will be truly missed by all of his friends in the restaurant community. Roy is survived by his daughters, Melinda Lopez and Tony, Marene Evans and John; grandchildren, Ryan Seale, Tommy Evans and Keri Evans; brother, Rev. James Robbins and family; and his animal"babies".
