Collins -- Mary Rudolph Collins, 82, an active member of Annunciation Catholic Church since 1959, joined her husband Burt in heaven, on Wednesday, August 20, 2003. They had been married for 53 years. Burt had died October 25, 2000. Mary Collins is survived by her Sons: Kevin Collins, Brian Collins and wife, Heather of Albuquerque, and Eric (Boo) Collins of Placitas; Daughters: Colleen Young of Sandia Park NM, Janeen Cobb and husband, Ken of Centerville, TX, Mary Ann (Pinky) Lindeman and husband, Mark of Monument, CO, and Celeste (Dolly) Smith and husband, Mac of Seattle, WA; Grandchildren: David Young, Katrina Grantz, Peter Young, Carla Cobb, Sarah Adams, Evie Cobb, J. B. Cobb, Eric Lindeman, Megan Lindeman, and Mei Le Smith; Brothers: Al Rudolph, Fr. Fred Rudolph, and Jerry Rudolph; Sisters: Sr. Celesta Rudolph, Celine Miller, and Theresa Rudolph. Mary was an Army nurse during World War II, where she met Burt in the Philippines. They raised 7 grateful children together. She was an award-winning realtor for Hooten/Stahl from 1982-1988. She and Burt spent many happy years traveling in their RV, the ¯Coyote Cruiser¯, before his death. She spent her last day before death shopping at the commissary and doing water aerobics. She was a wonderful mom and a caring grandmother. We will miss her deeply. Her brother, Fr. Fred Rudolph SVD, will celebrate a memorial Mass for her Saturday, August 23, 2003, at 8:30 a.m., at Annunciation Catholic Church, 2621 Vermont NE. Interment of cremains will take place at Arlington National Cemetery in Washington, DC, where Mary will be resting for all eternity next to her beloved husband, Burt. Fox -- Majorie Dyer Fox was born in Bennington, Oklahoma, the daughter of Henry and Bertha Dyer. She died Thursday, August 21, in Albuquerque, NM, after a series of strokes which left her bedridden for the past four years. Marjorie is survived by her daughters; Mary Sue Fox of Albuquerque, NM and Martha Fox Spore and her husband, Robert of Lexington, VA; a granddaughter, Dixie Spore of Virginia Beach, VA; and a brother Ned Dyer and wife, Marie of Duncan, OK. She was married to Dick Fox, who preceded her in death in April 1975. Marjorie was a member of the First Baptist Church, Kappa Kappa Iota, AARP, and Albuquerque Association of Educational Retirees. Marjorie¯s teaching career spanned 37 years, teaching at Albuquerque High School, Sandia High School, Manzano High School and Albuquerque TVI Community College. Services will be Saturday, 2:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE, with Rev. Bruce Rich, Jr., officiating. Gay -- James W. Gay died August 15, 2003 at his home following a lengthy illness, he was 50. Born in Albuquerque, Mr. Gay graduated from Del Norte High School in 1970. In 1979, he graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a degree in Ocean Engineering. He has resided in Marblehead for the past 19 years. Mr. Gay worked for General Electric, Lynn as a gear program manager. he was a member of GE Elfun Volunteers, American Society of Naval Engineers, the Navy League and the Surface navy Association. Prior to engineering, he worked in New Mexico as a skilled carpenter building custom homes. As a dedicated father, Mr. Gay was an active member of the Yankee Clipper Council, BSA Marblehead Pack/Troop 79. He coached and was a board member of Marblehead Youth Soccer. He liked traveling with his family, his Newfoundland dog, Glover and watching westerns. He could fix anything! Mr. Gay is survived by his wife of 24 years, Betsy (Loewenherz); daughter, Abigail; two sons, Jonathan and Timothy all of Marblehead, MA. He was the son of the late James W. Gay and Gladys (Oberle) Gay of Albuquerque. He leaves his uncle, Don and aunt, Gretchen Mulder; uncle, David and aunt, Ilse Gay of Albuquerque; uncle, Charlie Gay of Pennsylvania and aunt, Charlotte Truog of New Jersey; as well as their extended families. A Memorial Service was held on August 18, 2003 at Stanetsky-Hymanson Memorial Chapel, Salem, MA. Memorial Observance was held in his late residence August 18, 2003 through the 20th. Gutierrez -- Mary G. Gutierrez, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque passed away on Thursday, August 21, 2003, after a long illness at the age of 77. She was a graduate of Albuquerque High School, class of 1943. In addition to being a homemaker, Mrs. Gutierrez spent many years in the supervision of manufacturing and distribution of turquoise and silver jewelry. Mrs. Gutierrez is survived by her husband, Miguel Gutierrez; sons, George R. Padilla and Gerald P. Padilla; daughters, Christine A. Zaccaria and husband Frank, and Eileen A. Lucero and fiance, Lawrence Reyes; grandchildren, Jerry Padilla, Michael Padilla, Frankie Zaccaria Jr., Ginette B. Pedroncelli, Alegras Lucero and Jimmy Lucero; and one sister, Consuelo Ballejos of Belen. Mrs. Gutierrez will be deeply missed by her loving family. Visitations will be held on Sunday from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Garcia Mortuary. A rosary will be held on Sunday evening at 7:00 p.m. at the St. Anne Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday morning at 10:00 a.m. also at the St. Anne Catholic Church. Interment will follow at the San Jose de Armijo Cemetery. Jenkins -- Jill Jenkins, 66, and a resident of Albuquerque for 31 years died August 20, 2003. She was born in Akron, OH on November 9, 1936 to David and Helen Hastings. Jill enjoyed being with her family as well as traveling. She was loved dearly by family and friends and will be greatly missed by all. Jill is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, William L. Jenkins, Sr.; sons, William L. Jenkins, Jr. and wife, Shirley of Albuquerque and Charles D. Jenkins and wife, Kelly of Houston, TX; daughters, Deborah L. Maldonado -- Estolano Ray Maldonado, age 72, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, was called home to be with the Lord our Savior, Thursday, August 21, 2003. Estolano was born in Tajique, NM to the late Bernardo and Anita Maldonado; and was a resident of Albuquerque. He was preceded in death by a son, Ray Maldonado; and is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Mary Maldonado of the family home; his children, Tony Maldonado and wife Felisa of Albuquerque, Molly Griego and husband Gerald of Alaska; his precious grandchildren, Alyssa Stringer and husband Matthew, Carlos and Celina Maldonado; his great-grandchildren, Lorenzo Griego and Natalie Stringer. Also surviving are one brother, Pat Maldonado; sisters, Mary Otero and husband Albino, Barbara Otero and husband Ruben, Emily Perea, Margaret Miera and husband Jimmy; and many more other relatives and friends. Mitchell -- Ruth Irene Jackson Mitchell, 92, a resident of Albuquerque, formerly of Greeley, CO died August 20, 2003 peacefully at home. Her husband, Robert preceded her in death in 1976; and daughter, Dottie Norris in 2000; also by her parents, Charles and Opal Jackson; and siblings, Anna and Cecil Jackson. Ruth moved to Albuquerque in 1981 and shared a home with daughter, Barbara. She was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church. She is survived by daughter, Barbara Ruth Mitchell of Albuquerque; and grandson, Mike Wolfe wife, Julie, and great granddaughter Tasha, of Tijeras, NM; and great-grandson, Christopher Wolfe of Irvine, CA; sister, Nelle and husband, Carl of Edmund, OK, Margaret Wood of Delta, CO, Dorothy Watson of Plateville, CO, Helen Moss of Flagler, CO; sister-in-law, Leda Palser of Evans, CO; and extended families. Robbins -- Roy S. Robbins, January 1, 1926 - August 16, 2003. Graduated Thiel College 1949; married Jo Fleischer 1950. Roy considered the seminary and served his church for many years as organist, but his calling was to teach. He began his career in Hanover, PA and after he and Jo moved their family to Albuquerque in 1965, he taught at Ernie Pyle and History at Rio Grande HS. He also taught evenings at TVI. He retired from teaching after his wife's death in 1983. Roy was a kind, gentle soul who loved his students, his animals, and going out to eat. He never met a buffet he didn't like! He will be truly missed by all of his friends in the restaurant community. Roy is survived by his daughters, Melinda Lopez and Tony, Marene Evans and John; grandchildren, Ryan Seale, Tommy Evans and Keri Evans; brother, Rev. James Robbins and family; and his animal"babies".

Tunnell -- Vestal Bates Tunnell, born November 14, 1916 died in Albuquerque on August 18, 2003. She is survived by her son, Jerrold and his wifem Marlene; and grandson, Matthew of New Jersey. She is also survived by sister, Pauline Bradley; and brother, Bill Bates of Lubbock, Texas. She was preceded in death by daughter, Joanne and husband, Homer of 52 years. She was a long term resident of Farmington before moving to Albuquerque, where she was a member of St. Stephen's United Methodist Church. Valdez -- Robert B. Valdez, age 60, a lifelong resident of New Mexico, passed away August 21, 2003. Survivors include his wife, Marylin Valdez; five daughters- Kimberly Valdez, Kelly Johnson and husband Herb, Kyle Allard and husband Greg, Kasey Fayter and husband Michael, Joey Lynn Wilson and husband Lee, all of Albuquerque; one son- Robert Valdez and wife Kathleen of Albuquerque; his father, Alfonso Valdez of Willard; three brothers- Archie Valdez of Moriarty, Rick Valdez of Albuquerque, Don Valdez of Willard; ten grandchildren; one great grandchild. His mother Irene Salas preceded Robert in death. Robert loved his family very much; he and his wife have been married forty-two years celebrating their wedding anniversary on August 23rd. He was a well-respected man in the community, as well as a good neighbor and dedicated employee. He had a talent to fix things and enjoyed his job. Robert was a faithful and devoted member in his church, Queen of Heaven, for over forty years. Robert was employed with Hanna Plumbing and Heating for over 27 years in which the last few years he served as a contractor for Ethicon. He was also a member of the local 412 Plumbers and Pipefitters from where he retired in July of this year. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm, Tuesday, August 26, 2003 at Queen of Heaven Church. 5310 Claremont Ave. NE. Wagner -- Paul Ross Wagner, 78, of Amarillo, TX died August 19, 2003. Services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 23, 2003 at St. Luke Presbyterian Church with Dr. Pat Kennedy officiating. Burial will be in Cherry Valley, NY. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Amarillo, TX. Mr. Wagner was born October 4, 1924 in Ilion, NY and married Elizabeth Hubrich on April 6, 1948. He graduated from the Naval Academy in 1945 with the degree of Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and commissioned an Ensign, starting a career of 22 years in the navy. In July of 1974 until January of 1985 he became area manager of the Amarillo Atomic Energy Commission now the DOE. He served on the U.S. Atomic Energy Commission from July 1974 until January 1975, then the U.S. Energy Research and Development Administration, January 1975 until October 1977 and the U.S. Department of Energy from October 1977 until January 1985; he retired from the U.S. Civil Service as a member of the Senior Executive Service. Mr. Wagner was a devoted member of St. Luke Presbyterian Church, serving as Clerk of the Session and a member of the choir. His wife and two daughters, Shirley A. Layne of Salem, OR and Charlotte Ross Stockdale of Bellevue, WA; sister, Margaret Prvio Ionni of Pittsburgh, PA; and four grandchildren, Mathew Wagner Layne and Alexa Elizabeth Layne, both of Portland, OR, Aaron Robert Stockdale and Adam Ross Stockdale, both of Bellevue, WA survive him. Wardrip -- Harold E. Wardrip, age 83. Beloved father, grandfather, Harold Wardrip, a resident of Bernalillo, NM died on Tuesday, August 19, 2003, after a courageous battle with lymphoma cancer. Harold was a 30 year resident of La Pine, Oregon, where he owned and operated his own automotive garage before moving to Bernalillo in February, 2003 to live with his daughter and her family. Harold was born in Meade County, Kentucky on October 10, 1919 to John E. Wardrip and Eula Lawson Wardrip. Harold's mother, Eula, died when he was six weeks old and his father died in 1967. Harold is survived by his daughters, Paula Bliven and husband' Marty, of Bernalillo, New Mexico, Bonnie Walker and husband, Gareth of El Cajon, California; his son, Jerry Wardrip and wife, Nelda of El Cajon, California; two step-daughters, Yvonne Steeby and husband, David of Alamogordo, New Mexico and Joan Walthall of Las Vegas, New Mexico. Numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; former sister and brother-in-laws and their children also survive Harold. Harold will be greatly missed by his dog and cat, Rusty and Joe, as they were his extended children in his later years. Harold was proud of his family and loved each one. Harold worked as a mechanic his entire life and could listen to an engine and tell what was wrong with it. He began as mechanic for the railroad and went to working on jet engines for Boeing. From there he worked on diesel and gasoline engines. There wasn't an engine that he couldn't fix. A Memorial Service is scheduled for Monday, August 25, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel at Direct Funeral Services, 2919 4th NW, Albuquerque, New Mexico.
