Benavidez -- Mr. Edward J. Benavidez died Sunday, August 10, 2003 in Albuquerque at the age of 78. Mr. Benavidez was a veteran ofWorld War II and Korea. He was a member of American Legion Post 13. He is survived by his wife, Rebecca G. Benavidez of Albuquerque; sons, Mike Gonzales of Long Beach, CA and Donald Duran Jr. of Albuquerque; sisters-in-law, Carrie and Theresa; and grandchildren, Donald Duran III, Misty Ray Duran, Ezekiel Duran and Elijah Duran. A Rosary for Mr. Benavidez will be recited on Sunday evening at 7:00 p.m. with visitation beginning at 5:00 p.m. at Salazar & Sons Mortuary. Funeral Services for Mr. Benavidez will be held on Monday at Salazar & Sons Mortuary where the Service will begin at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. Arrangements by: Salazar & Sons Mortuary 400 Third Street SW 247-4124
