Cottrell -- Beatrice A. Cottrell, age 86 and a resident of Albuquerque for 83 years died Monday following an illness. She was a graduate of Albuquerque High School and received both her B.A. and M.A. from the University of New Mexico. Miss Cottrell had taught at Armijo Elementary School in the South Valley for many years. She enjoyed writing poetry and was an outdoors person having ridden horses until she was 80 and rescued many animals and took very good care of them. Viewing and Visitation will be held Tuesday April 1, 2003 for 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Strong-Thorne Mortuary, 1100 Coal Ave. SE.
