Born in Worcester, MA on July 10, 1932, he is preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Alberts; his parents, Herbert Alberts, Sr., and wife, Virginia; his son, Herbert Alberts, Jr.; his nieces, Becky and Aletha Davis; his daughter, Pauline Serna, and husband, Robert, and his grandsons, Thomas Peters and Daniel Morales. He is survived by his brother, Donald Alberts, and wife, Shirley; his daughter, Cora Lee Mohamed; grandchildren, Marie Mohamed, and Kenny McCarthy; daughters, Judy Steel and Nikki Peters; son, Carl Thompson, and wife, Rhonda; 13 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren. A Graveside Service will be held Friday, March 6, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. at Sandia Memorial Gardens, 9500 San Pedro Drive NE, in Albuquerque.
