DOOLITTLE, DOROTHY CHASE TEBERG Born May 18, 1921 to Ernest J. Teberg and Mary Bertina Pease Teberg in Anoka, Minnesota. Died January 16, 2015 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She grew up in Chicago and graduated from the University of Chicago in 1942. There she met John C. Doolittle on September 24, 1938. They became engaged on December 24, 1941, and were married on December 24, 1942. She worked in retailing at several department stores including Lord and Taylor. After World War II they moved to Rochester, New York where John worked until his retirement at Eastman Kodak. In 1957 they bought a small farm in Mendon, New York and remodeled the Victorian farmhouse to make a beautiful home. Dorothy was active in church, Girl Scouts, Mendon Pony Club, the Rochester Philharmonic League, and the P.E.O. Sisterhood. They moved to Albuquerque in 1987. She is preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, and her husband John. She is survived by children Thomas Doolittle (wife Leslie) and Martha McIver (husband Jack); grandchildren Andrew, Heather, Brian, John, and Natalia; nieces and nephews. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and Chapter AL of P.E.O. She volunteered in fossil preparation at the NM Museum of Natural History. She was an avid tennis player. They moved to the La Vida Llena community in 1998. The family is very grateful for the loving care and friendships she has had at LVL. There will be a service of life celebration at the La Vida Llena chapel on Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at 2:00PM. Memorial contributions to the Full Life Foundation of LVL.
