PATTERSON, GEORGE HARVEY age 80, passed away on Friday, January 16, 2015. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Connie; daughter, Gina Lonz (Thomas) of Albuquerque; son, Toss Patterson (Julia) of Sandy, Utah; grandchildren, Michelle Boady (Mike), Timothy Lonz (Karissa), Sarah Patterson, Tayler Patterson; great-grandchildren, Ethan Boady, Avery Boady and Landon Boady and also several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Ethel Patterson and his sister, Opal Faye Mullins. George was a member of the National Guard Infantry - 45th Division and active in the Chamber of Commerce, Alvarado School Club (PTA) as President, Alvarado Follies Cast for 30 years - Master of Ceremonies for eight years and Director for three years, and Treasurer of the North Valley Neighborhood Association for a number of years. He was a store manager for both Firestone Tire & Rubber and Goodyear Tire and Rubber, General Manager for Wilger Tire, founder and owner of Central New Mexico Tire Company and later acquired Santa Fe Tire Company. Mr. Patterson served on the Board of Directors of the National Tire Dealers & Retreaders Association for six years. He loved his men's bible study class at Del Norte Baptist Church of which he was a member. After retirement, he became a realtor for Pargin Realty and he loved hunting, gardening, and sports. He loved the Lord and was a very caring man who always had a story of his life to share. George would like to be remembered as a man who put God and family first. The highlight of his life was his marriage to Connie and the birth of his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and watching them grow up. A visitation will be held on Monday, January 19 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at FRENCH - University, 1111 University Blvd. NE. Services will be held on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Del Norte Baptist, 5800 Montgomery Blvd. NE, with interment to follow to Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE.
