MICHELITCH, MARGIE "POLLY" BUCKNER Age 83 passed from this life unto the next on Saturday, December 20, 2014. She was born September 21, 1931 in Cache County, OK to Benjamin Armintage and Ester Mae (Brewer) Buckner. Polly is survived by her husband of 57 years, Joseph "Jake" Michelitch; daughter, Christina "Tina" Michelitch; grandson, John Joseph "JJ" Michelitch, all of Rio Rancho, NM; sister, F. Marie Buckner of Lubbock, TX. She was a remarkable woman, always supportive of her families' and friends' endeavors. Polly was both strong and selfless. She added a great deal to many people's lives throughout her lifetime. Polly grew up in Lubbock, TX and was married in Washington, DC. She relocated to Phoenix, AZ and then to Rio Rancho, NM in 1981. She always considered herself a Texan at heart. Professionally, Polly was a dental hygienist. Later her love of horses provided her the opportunity to be a professional horse breeder and trainer, along with owning Corrales Feed and Tack in Corrales, NM for 10 years. Polly was an avid animal lover and lifetime entrepreneur. She owned and operated Cactus Flower Antiques in Paradise Valley, AZ, Apple Books and Things in Corrales, NM, and several internet businesses including Polly's Collectibles and Polly's Potpourri. Polly was the light and strength of her family. She supported her husband in his long and successful teaching career, her daughter and her various endeavors and her grandson in both his emergency response and music careers. Polly will be missed beyond belief, never forgotten, loved and always in our hearts. We pray she rests in peace until we are reunited again.
