BLEVINS, GEORGE DOUGLAS Went to be with the Lord on December 30, 2014. "Doug" was born on December 20, 1931, in Freeman, Missouri. He was the only child of Harold Blevins and Nina Steele Blevins who have preceded him in death. Doug was raised in Freeman, Missouri, and in February, 1951, he joined the United States Air Force. He was discharged in 1955. Doug was married on December 27, 1957, in the First Baptist Church of Shawnee to Donna Mae Schuyler of Shawnee, Oklahoma. In May 1961, he graduated from the University Of Missouri School Of Mines in Rolla, MO, with a BS in Metallurgical Engineering. His career as an engineer was spent with Phillips Petroleum Company for 25 years and Citgo Petroleum Company for 8 years with assignments in Oklahoma, Texas, Canada, Sweden, Singapore and other projects overseas. He retired in 1995. Doug was ordained in 1978 at the International Baptist Church in Singapore. He is survived by his wife, Donna Schuyler Blevins. They were married for 57 years. Doug is also survived by three sons, Scott Schuyler Blevins, and his wife, Leah, Perry Lee Blevins and Bradley Douglas Blevins and his wife, Cynthia; plus seven grandchildren, Zachary Schuyler, Abigail Grace and Eden Rebecca Blevins, Madison Louise and Mitchell Douglas Blevins and Carissa Teagan and Karsten Kane Blevins; and numerous other family members and friends, whom he dearly loved. A visitation will be held on Monday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at FRENCH-Westside, 9300 Golf Course Rd. NW. Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, January 6, 2015, 10:00 a.m., at First Baptist Church in Rio Rancho, 3906 19th Avenue SE, with Pastor Si Budagher, Pastor Ted With and Scott Blevins officiating. Interment will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery, Santa Fe, NM on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the C. E.
