MACDONALD, LEONARD "MAC" Age 74, a resident of Albuquerque, died at his home on Wednesday, December 24, 2014. He is survived by wife of 17 years, Jennifer MacDonald; children, Jacqueline West and husband, Kenneth, of Albuquerque, Michelle Palmer and husband, Alan, of Temple, TX, Brian Orona and wife, Georgiana, of Los Lunas, NM, and William Orona and wife, Vikki, of Minden, NV; grandchildren, Debra Riggle and husband, Oliver, Matthew West, Wesley Palmer, Whit Palmer, and Halley Palmer, Olivia Orona, and Katie Orona; two great-grandchildren, Olivia and Felix Riggle; and other relatives and friends. Mac was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Ruth, Harriet, and Patricia; and the mother of his children, Nadine Cox MacDonald. He was born in 1940 in Brooklyn, NY and joined the United States Army at the age of 17. The military was the turning point in his life, training Mac in the printing and photography business which he continued as his career for the rest of his life. At the time of his retirement from the Department of Defense, Mac had received many accolades for his service in printing and photography for the United States Government. Of all of his accomplishments, Mac was most proud of his children and grandchildren. He rebuilt and fully restored a 1950 Ford pickup and was an avid Nascar fan. His conservative values led him to being a tried and true American patriot. Mac was a loving husband, father, grandpa, and papa Mac and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2014, 11:00 a.m. at FRENCH ~ Lomas, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE. Private Interment will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery with military honors. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mac's name to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O.
