SAUERMAN-SADILEK, ETHEL MARIE (DUTCH) Ethel was born on December 19, 1914 in New Windsor, Illinois. She passed away on Friday, October 31, 2014 in Albuquerque, New Mexico at age 99. Ethel was born to parents Earl and Ann Tomlinson and grew up in Illinois in neighboring cities Rock Island and Moline, Illinois. She graduated from Moline High School. She was married to Frederick M. Sauerman and enjoyed fifty years of marriage. Ethel worked as office manager and bookkeeper in her husband's podiatry office in Moline. Dutch was an avid bridge player and reader. She was also involved in many civic and church activities. They moved from Moline to Albuquerque in May 1973 and remained there the rest of their lives. Ethel had two children, Richard Sauerman and Marsha Shishman (deceased 2013). She is survived by Richard and wife Barbara, and son-in-law Thomas Shishman. She also has six grandchildren: Becky Miller and husband Don, Rick Sauerman and wife Cindy, Mark Sauerman and wife Maria, Scott Shishman and wife Debbie, Mike Shishman and wife Courtney, and Greg Shishman. She is also survived by fifteen great-grandchildren, including Mackenzie, Jake and Bailey Miller; Nick, Abby, and Ben Sauerman; Luke, Isabelle, and Gabrielle Sauerman; Megan, Matthew, and Maria Shishman; and Thomas, Charles, and Madelyn Shishman. Ethel is also survived by nephew Jim Tomlinson and wife Faye, as well as niece Kathy Brainard and husband Donald. Dutch was preceded in death by her brother Bill Tomlinson and his wife Molly. Later in life Ethel married Jules Sadilek who preceded her in death. Ethel greatly appreciated the compassionate care that was provided by the Woodmark Senior Care Center and their staff. Cremation has taken place. A private family memorial service will be held in Albuquerque.
