SHANNON, HOWARD VINCENT (PAT) Born in 1930 in Farmington, NM, in his grandmother's home. Died on November 2, 2014. He was 84. He is survived by his wife, Nora; his four children, Patrick, Kahlene, Timothy and Kelly; all their grandchildren; his two brothers, Thomas and Michael. His grandfather on his mother's side, Dr. Howard, was the only dentist in Farmington, New Mexico when he was born. The Bluffs above Farmington, NM are named after Thomas Shannon, his grandfather. He attended high school and college in New Mexico and started work as a Union Pipefitter. Worked his way up to Pipe Superintendent. He owned two companies in Sandusky, Ohio: Huron Aluminum and Mechanical Fabricators and Contractors. He sold his interest in these. He worked overseas in Construction and Project Management for large Construction and Engineering Corporations. His jobs took him overseas to Adaro, Venezuela, Medicine Hat, Canada and Auckland and New Zealand. He also worked in almost every state in the U.S. building Methanol Plants, Refineries, Power Plants, Computer Chip Plants, NASA site construction projects and in The Jet Propulsion Lab (JPL) in Pasadena, CA. After retirement he enjoyed drawing mechanical isometrics for contractors working at the Intel plant here in Rio Rancho, NM.
