SHOEMAKER, RUTH Ruth, age 92, passed unexpectedly on Sunday, September 21, 2014. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 74 years, Leroy; son, Paul; and two sisters, Erma and Edna. She is survived by her children, Marcella Pace, Nannette McCarty and Richard Shoemaker; nine grandchildren, Tammy, Robert, Joni, Levana, Bonnie, Eva, Jason, Steven, and Melissa; numerous great-grandchildren and great- great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Naomi and Cleo. Ruth was an active member of First United Methodist Church and St. Andrews United Methodist Church. She supported the Sacramento Methodist Assembly, Wesley Kids, and the New Mexico Boys and Girls Ranch. Ruth was blessed with many talents, including art, music, various types of needlework, and gardening. She was always kind and caring. A celebration of Ruth's life will be scheduled at a later date at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd, NE. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Ruth's memory to the Sacramento Methodist Assembly, 106 Assembly Circle, Sacramento, NM 88347.
