She is survived by her daughter Kendel (Steve) Ritter; son Joseph (Jessica) Soban; grandchildren Brook Lynn, Stephen, Abigail, and Joseph IV; brother Chris (Pam) Sutton; sisters Colleen Cawthon and Kelly (Scott) Bowen; nieces Robyn, Courtney and Marissa; and nephews Eric and Christian. Tricia was predeceased by her parents Raymond (Tip) and Patricia (Fisher) Sutton of Linwood, New Jersey. She spent 30 years teaching high school English primarily at Toms River East High School in Toms River, New Jersey, retiring in 1998 when she moved to Albuquerque. During her retirement she was involved in Albuquerque Newcomers Club, New Mexico Gourd Society, Bead Society of New Mexico and Fiber Arts. She won numerous awards at the New Mexico State Fairs in Albuquerque and Socorro for her craft work and was a craft instructor at Meadowlark Senior Center in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. Always active she enjoyed going on cruises, researching her family tree, knitting and a variety of other crafts and in 2012 authored the book "One Gourd at a Time: A Beginners Guide". Most of all, she cherished her time with her children and grandchildren. Her cremation was handled by Daniels Funeral Home and the arrangements were private at the request of the family.
