LEVY, JUAN CARLOS Juan Levy passed away on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 leaving his loving wife, two sons and his grandson/best friend along with his much loved extended family and friends. Born to Julia and Rolf Levy on August 3, 1945 in Bogota, Colombia, Juan was the 2nd of five children (older brother Miguel and younger sisters Magda, Beatriz and Patricia). Following Miguel to the United States, Juan left Colombia to attend college in Indiana in 1965. As a student, Juan moved around the western United States ultimately settling in Albuquerque to finish his schooling at UNM. While a student at UNM, he met the love of his life, Kathy Cravens. In 1973, Juan and Kathy moved to Bogota, where they were married on April 27. They returned to Albuquerque for good ahead of the birth of their first son in 1975. Over the 40 years he lived in Albuquerque, Juan raised his boys, built a successful career and surrounded himself with friends and family. Honesty and loyalty are the values by which Juan lived and defined himself; honesty in how he lived his life and loyalty for those who shared it with him. He was a great friend, an amazing dad and even better grandfather, but most of all he was a husband who loved his wife. He will be missed by all who knew him.
