BARR, BARBARA ANN Age 68, a longtime resident of Albuquerque, died August 21, 2014. She is survived by her sister, Kathie Lange of Cocoa, FL; her nephews Jacob Lange GY SGT USMC and wife Krystle of San Diego, CA, and Zechariah Lange of Tallahassee, FL; her niece Jessica Lange of Titusville, FL; as well as her extended family Brian Grate and Edwin H. Grate of Tucson, AZ. Ms. Barr was preceded in death by her parents Livia Hesselbarth Barr and Mortimer Barr of Boston and New York; her brother Jeffrey Barr of Santa Fe and her partner Edwin M. Grate of Albuquerque. Barbara earned her master's degrees in mathematics and in applied psychology, and was a full time MSE instructor in math at CNM. She also taught dance classes at Marshall Performing Arts Conservatory for many years. Barbara added something special to the lives of her family, friends, students and acquaintances. Her kindness, her smile and her joy will be remembered by all. Services will be held on Friday, September 26, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. at FRENCH Lomas. In lieu of flowers, Barbara requested that contributions be made to the CNM Foundation to support STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) scholarships for CNM students, in honor of Barbara.
