WOOD, ARLENE "ANGEL" Arlene "Angel" Wood passed from this world on July 31, 2014 at the age of 89. She was born in Bemidji, MN on December 3, 1924. At 21, she moved to Albuquerque and from then on called Albuquerque her home. She did not pursue education, wealth or business, but focused on family and church. A skilled seamstress and housekeeper, she raised her four daughters to value hard work. Though not educated beyond high school, her family and friends always sought her wisdom. As a christian, she earned the name "Angel" for her many acts of service. A lifelong member of Christian Fellowship Church, she served as a deaconess in her later years. She is proceeded in death by her husband, Earl Wood, and daughter, Sandy Meyer. She is survived by three daughters, Sherley Sego Miller, Gigi Marcelli, and Kathy Middleton (husband Greg). She is also survived by several grandchildren, great- grandchildren, and great-great- grandchildren. She leaves e behind a legacy of unconditional love and uncompromising faith in God. The family would like to express our deepest gratitude to the staff of InnovAge, P.A.C.E, and St. John's Nursing Home for their compassionate service and care. A memorial service will be held at Christian Fellowship Church, 3901 Claremont NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110 on Wednesday evening, 8/6/14 at 7:00pm.
