GROSSOEHME, CLYDE CMDR, USN, (RET.) Cmdr Clyde Grossoehme Age 89, died peacefully in his home on May 8th, 2014. He was born to parents Walter and Mathilda Grossoehme in Nemaha, Nebraska on August 22nd, 1924. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Laurene; and his two children, Jeff Grossoehme and Lisa Golden, all of Albuquerque. He is also survived by his brothers Kenneth Grossoehme of Auburn, Nebraska, Lannon Grossoehme of Coer d' Alene, Idaho; sister Frances Andrew of Auburrn, Nebraska; and sisters-in-law Doris Stokes of Pampa, FL and Maureen Stillahn of Omaha, NE. He was preceeded in death by four brothers: George, Robert, Wendell and Carl Grossoehme and his sister Eilleen Gurney. Clyde proudly served his country for 28 years in the United States Navy where he saw active duty in the Korean War, WWII, and Vietnam before he retired as Commander. He then worked as Assistant Mananger of Coronado Airport and Manager of 7 Bar Airport, Albuquerque and was an avid pilot himself. In retirement he enjoyed fishing, golf and traveling with his wife. He was a true American and will be missed dearly by his family and friends. Thank you for serving our country, Clyde.
