MANIRE, MARY L. Age 88, passed away Sunday, May 4th, 2014. She was born in Blue Spring, Tn. and came to NM as a young woman where she met and married her beloved husband William F Manire who preceded her in death in 1975. She is survived by daughter Mary Elizabeth Manire Downing and son-in-law Rhett Downing of Pocatello, Id.; daughter Laura R Manire of Albuquerque; sister-in-law Vivian Morton Doran of Albuquerque; sister-in-law Dr. Edwina Bean Doran of Cookeville, Tn.; numerous other family and friends including many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Rev Paul E. and Louise Johnsonius Doran and siblings Virginia Pennington, James Doran, John Doran, Paul Doran and Dr. William Doran. Mary was a long time member and ordained deacon of La Mesa Presbyterian Church. She was a Certified Nurses Assistant and especially loved working in the new born nursery at Presbyterian Hospital before she married. she worked in child care with infants after her husband Bill passed away. There will be a memorial service Thursday, May 15th at 1:00 pm at La Mesa Presbyterian Church, 7401 Copper Ave NE.
