MARTINEZ, MANUEL Age 50, an Albuquerque Native, went home to be with The Lord on Saturday, April 5, 2014. Manuel was a fun, big hearted, and loving son, brother, father, grandfather, uncle, and most off all friend. He was a hard worker and always willing to lend a hand. He lived a very simple life, he didn't believe in spending money on himself but rather found happiness in giving to others. He looked forward to his five am daily coffee with his mom and dad. He enjoyed being in the company of friends. He was an active member of the Zapata Club, and the family is very thankful for them all. Manuel was a parishioner of St. Edwin Catholic Church and loved to attend mass with his dad at Ascension Parish. Manuel is survived by his parents, Horacio (Nash) and Jane Martinez; his son, Luciano and wife, Cerissa; grandchildren, Julianna and Luciano, Jr.; his three sisters, their spouses; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, uncles, and aunts. Rosary will be recited on Thursday, April 10, 2014, 7:00 p.m., at Church of the Ascension, 2150 Raymac Road SW. Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, April 12, 2014, 10:00 a.m., at St. Edwin Parish, 2105 Barcelona Road SW. Interment will take place at the Martinez Family Cemetery.
