GURULE, ANTONIO (TONY) 90, passed away on March 27, 2014 at his home in Bernalillo. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Lupe (Mirabal), sister Jane Sandoval, In-laws Tony and Inez Gabaldon, Mary Gurule, Ramona Mirabal and Tita Mirabal. Children, Antoinette (Ray) Sedillo, Joe (Janie) Gurule, Cecilia (LeeRoy) Haynes, Olivia (Anthony) Baldonado, Loretta (Fidel) Padilla, Paul Gurule, Kathy Duran; 14 grandchildren; 18 great- grandchildren and two on the way. Many nieces, nephews and God children. He was predeceased by four sisters, one brother, seven brother-in-laws. Antonio was born to Jose and Francesquita on June 22, 1923 in Pena Blanca, NM. He served during WWII in the US Navy as a Pharmacists Mate 3rd Class. He retired from Civil Service and worked in maintenance at OLOS Church. He was a life long member of the VFW Post 4243 in Bernalillo, American Legion Post 69 in Alameda, Head User at OLOS in Bernalillo and lifetime farmer. He enjoyed spending time in his shed wood working and sharing stories and songs with the family. Services will be held at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Bernalillo. Visitation, Wednesday, April 2, 6:00pm followed by the Rosary at 7:00pm. Mass on Thursday, April 3, at 10:00am. Burial to follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. Pallbearers: Anthony Gurule, Michael Sedillo, Eric Haynes, Jonathon Baldonado, Briana Gurule, Joseph Gurule. Honorary Pallbearers will be the grandchildren, great-grandchildren and God children.
