GARCIA, MATIAS "PETE" Age 67, beloved husband, father, son, and brother, was embraced by the Lord and taken to Eternal Rest, Thursday, March 13, 2014. He was a lifelong resident of Bernalillo, NM, where he was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church. Pete was a proud Veteran of the United States Marine Crops, who served his country during the Vietnam war, and was a member of the American Legion Post #69 in Alameda. He was preceded in death by his father, Esequiel Garcia; brother, David Garcia, Jr.; and sister, Evangline Lovato. Pete is survived by his wife, Rosalie Garcia; his son, Martin Garcia and wife Susan; his mother Mary Garcia; siblings, Herman Garcia and wife Harriett, Priscilla Trujillo and husband Clyde, Julia Castro and husband Alfonso, Gloria Mantanrez, Joann Gutierrez and Toby Zamora; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Pete will be greatly missed by all. A Rosary will be recited Friday, March 21, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 301 Camino del Pueblo, Bernalillo, NM, where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Inurnment will follow at Our Lady of Sorrows Cemetery.
