MACLEOD, RUTH Ruth M. MacLeod, age 80, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away peacefully on February 25, 2014. Ruth was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and graduated from nursing school there. Early in her life she moved to Tucson, Arizona to be a nurse at the Veterans hospital. It was at the VA she met the love of her life, Richard (Mac) MacLeod. In the all too brief time they had together before his passing, her world was truly wonderful. She is remembered as an extremely giving person who shared her joy of art throughout her life. She was also an avid traveler who had enjoyed many trips to Europe. A favorite activity in retirement was volunteering at Los Artes Youth Art Program in Tucson. Later in her life she moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico to be close to her family there. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard "Mac" MacLeod, her sisters Dorothy (Ben) Pfister, Marjorie Marks, Jane Marks and brother Gordon (Bea) Marks. She is survived by her step-daughters Robin (Bruce) Jones, Rhonda MacLeod; sister Marilyn (Homer) Groves; and godson Jeff (Sharon) Pfister. At an undetermined date her remains will be scattered like her late husband's over the Catalina Mountains in Tucson. Her final wishes were to encourage those who knew her to share their moments of her life with others. May she live in our hearts forever.
