TUTTLE, EMILY JANE Emily Jane Tuttle, a long-time resident of Albuquerque, went to be with her Lord and Savior Friday, January 31, 2014, at her daughter's home in Belen. She died at the age of 89 of natural causes. Emily was born December 18, 1924, in Fullerton, NE, to Daisy Underwood and Fredrick G. Agnew. Her husband of 44 years, Arthur Allen, preceded her in death. She is survived by her two children, Beth Spraberry and her husband, Daryl, and Dorothy Jo Sanchez and her husband, Clyde. She is also remembered fondly by her seven grandchildren and their families: Rachael Brown and her husband, Steffen, and their three children Emma. Jack, and, Luke; Arthur Sanchez and his wife, Julie, and their two sons, Jaden and Taylor; Emily Otero and her husband, Jesse, and their three children, Gentry, Samantha, and Leyla; Bryan Sanchez and his wife, Maila, and their two daughters, Stella and Norah; Naomi Brown and her husband, Jeremy, and their son, Jamison; Travis Sanchez and his wife, Alicia, and their daughter, Fairah; and Zachary Sanchez. Emily came to Albuquerque in 1959 to work as the Director of Nursing at Presbyterian Hospital, a position she held for 20 years. She spent the last 12 years before her retirement working as a nursing consultant for Presbyterian Hospitals in the more rural parts of the state. Emily was an amazing mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, a friend to many, and an inspiration to those whose lives she touched. She will be greatly missed. A memorial service is planned to honor her memory on Friday, February 7, 2014, at 2:30 pm at First Presbyterian Church, 215 Locust St. NE in Albuquerque. Gifts in lieu of flowers can be given to the Emily Tuttle Nursing Scholarship Fund with checks made payable to Presbyterian Healthcare Foundation and mailed to PO Box 26666, Albuquerque, NM 87125-6666, or to Presbyterian Hospice at 8100 Constitution Pl.
