CHAVEZ, AMADO U. age 83, a resident of Albuquerque, born in Belen, NM, June 4, 1930, passed away November 13, 2013. Mr. Chavez is survived by his beloved wife of sixty years, Emily; children, Francine Chavez, Frank Chavez and wife, Kathy, Christina Chavez and Pete Baros, JoLynne Chavez-Vigil and husband, Don; sisters, Lucy Trujillo and husband, Lalo, Lourdes Sanchez and husband, Teofilio, Martha Darrel and husband, Doug; sister in law, Lorina Castillo; ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mr. Chavez was preceded in death by his parents, Jesus and Josefita Chavez; daughter, Darlene; brother, Cardo; granddaughter, Lynette; and nephew, Aaron. Mr. Chavez was a member of the Catholic Church, a Veteran of the US Air Force and was retired from Sandia National Labs. Visitation will be Monday, November 18, 2013 from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 562 Atrisco SW with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. by Dorothy and Lorraine. Final visitation will be Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at Holy Family Catholic Church from 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Cemetery.
