ARCHULETA, RICHARD E. ("RIFLE") age 71, of Farmington, NM, passed away November 12, 2013. He was born in Cuba, NM to Jose Francisco and Candida Archuleta whom have preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death are his brothers: JB, Frank, Prospero and Vicente. He is survived by his sons: Duane Archuleta and Raul Archuleta (Kristin); daughter, Jolyn (Deanna) Janelle (Jon); sisters: Josephine Gutierrez, Priscilla Ramirez and Annie Montes (Gilbert); grandchildren: Mario Archuleta, Santiago Archuleta, Raegan Archuleta, Sam Janelle and Emma Janelle; sister in laws, Inez Archuleta, Sally Archuleta, Elsie Archuleta, several nieces, nephews, and friends. Richard was the most generous man. He retired from the New Mexico Department of Transportation after almost of 40 years of service. He was right there to help anyone out who needed anything. He loved spending time with his family and friends, jamming out with friends, Tejano music and going to the Casino. He was a brilliant musician. He was such a spirited man who was full of life. He had a great sense of humor. He had many friends and will be dearly missed by all. Special thanks to Ted Gutierrez and Mike Quintana whom were some of his best friends that would do anything for him. A Mass will be held on Sunday, November 17, 2013 at Santo Nino Catholic Church at 1:00 pm in La Jara, NM. Burial will follow immediately. Reception to follow burial at Guadalupe Hall in Cuba, NM.

BOWEN, CHARLES R. USAF RETIRED MAJOR Early on November 5, 2013 USAF, Retired Major Charles R. (Chuck) Bowen passed away, at home, surrounded by family. Charles was born in Cairo, IL on July 18th, 1925, raised in South Fulton, TN and lived in Albuquerque, NM for the majority of his life. After graduating high school he joined the Navy and served as a Radio Man on a PBY. He attended Colorado State University, Fort Collins graduating in 1952 earning a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering and receiving his commission to the USAF. While serving as a fighter pilot in The Star Fighters Air Wing Group, he was recognized as the 419th pilot to ever break the sound barrier. He faithfully served during WWII, Korea and Vietnam. During his service in Vietnam he was awarded with The Distinguished Flying Cross and the Gallantry Cross with the Silver Star and many other medals and awards. After retirement in 1969 from the Air Force, he worked as a engineer for the Naval Weapons Evaluation Facility on KAFB. Charles was a master gunsmith, angler and avid hunter. He was well known for his beautiful hand crafted gun stocks and checkering. He is survived by his sister, Elisabeth( Bettye) Beall; a son Lyle D. Bowen; two daughters Lori Laiche and Ella Stoakes; sons-in-law Thomas Laiche and James P. Stoakes; a nephew Stan Beall and niece Elisabeth (Libby) Bream. Services will be held at FRENCH - Lomas on Saturday November 16, 2013 at 11:00 a.m.. CHAVEZ, AMADO U. age 83, a resident of Albuquerque, born in Belen, NM, June 4, 1930, passed away November 13, 2013. Mr. Chavez is survived by his beloved wife of sixty years, Emily; children, Francine Chavez, Frank Chavez and wife, Kathy, Christina Chavez and Pete Baros, JoLynne Chavez-Vigil and husband, Don; sisters, Lucy Trujillo and husband, Lalo, Lourdes Sanchez and husband, Teofilio, Martha Darrel and husband, Doug; sister in law, Lorina Castillo; ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mr. Chavez was preceded in death by his parents, Jesus and Josefita Chavez; daughter, Darlene; brother, Cardo; granddaughter, Lynette; and nephew, Aaron. Mr. Chavez was a member of the Catholic Church, a Veteran of the US Air Force and was retired from Sandia National Labs. Visitation will be Monday, November 18, 2013 from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 562 Atrisco SW with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. by Dorothy and Lorraine. Final visitation will be Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at Holy Family Catholic Church from 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Cemetery. FORRESTER, DONALD H. Age 80, a resident of Albuquerque, died on Thursday, November 14, 2013. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Juanice Forrester of Albuquerque, NM; children, Bryce Forrester, Jody Streepy; and Garry Forrester; and seven grandchildren. Don was preceded in death by his sons, Stephen and Larry Forrester. Don served his country with the Navy. Over the course of his life he served as minister of music at several churches in El Paso, Dripping Springs, and Albuquerque. Don was known for his singing voice and often sang the National Anthem for various events. Also served in the athletic community at UTEP and UNM. He was a member of Highland Baptist Church. Services will be held on Sunday, November 17, 2013, 6:00 p.m. at FRENCH - Lomas. MONTOYA, GERALD age 50, of San Diego, CA, passed away October 26, 2013. He was born in Albuquerque, NM on April 28, 1963. Gerald graduated from Rio Grande High School. He received his Associates degree from San Diego City College in graphic design and his Bachelors degree from Long Beach State. He was a resident artist of the 10th Avenue Arts Centre. MURPHY, EVA RAE Eva Rae Murphy 94, a longtime resident of Albuquerque, passed away November 11, 2013. In Roswell, NM. Eva was born April 16,1919, in Antlers, OK, Marion Buford and Annie Myrtle Thompson. Eva was married to George D. Murphy in June 1940. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Thurman Odell Thompson; her husband, George D. Murphy, and daughter Lana Sue Garcia. Eva Rae is survived by her daughter, Georgann Moran and husband, Marvin of Roswell, NM; granddaughter, Cindy Desposito and husband, Brian of Denver, CO, Craig D. Lake and wife, Sandee, of Tijeras, NM, Sean M. Lake of Tucson AZ, Paul J. Garcia of Phoenix AZ, Randy Moran of Phoenix, AZ, Mike D. Moran of Roswell NM; her nine great-grandchildren, Rebecca A. Woodruff and husband, Thomas of Los Lunas, Kyle J. Hiatt and wife, Colette of Albuquerque, Tyler G. Hiatt of Albuquerque, Skyler A. Lake and Cameron M. NEUMAN-ROPER, JENNIFER MARTIN Age 44, went to be with the Lord on Friday, November 8, 2013. She was preceded in death by her father, Pete Roper; paternal grandparents, Ada Roper, Ellis Roper and Juanita Roper, and maternal grandparents, Grace McLaughlin and Berlin McLaughlin. She is survived in life by her beloved wife, Angelique Neuman-Roper; beloved sons, Jayms, David, and Damion; mother, Bonnie McLaughlin of Arkansas; step-mom, Beth Gordon and numerous other relatives and friends. After graduating from NMIMT with a degree in Materials Engineering, she worked as a technician at LANL, and later as the Technology Director at the Pueblo of Pojoaque Boys and Girls Club (PPBGC). Jen's passions were her family, technology, reading, and board games. Jen will be missed deeply and remembered fondly. PAGE, ORLINA "CURLY" Born August 9, 1950 in Wagon Mound passed peacefully on November 9, 2013 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eligio Page; her parents, Lucas and Eliza Montoya; brothers Manuel and Felimon Montoya; and sister Amelia Romero. She is survived by her long time friend, Lucas Baca; sisters Ernestine Olson (Norm), Delia Montoya, Lucy Weaver (Charlie); brothers Gilbert Montoya (Frances) and Tom Montoya; step-sons Eligio "Happy" Page and Patrick Page (Josie); granddaughter Jaclyn; plus numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by "Chatita". Orlina retired from the Bernalillo County Courthouse where she worked in the marriage license department. She previously worked as a title researcher. Orlina leaves a legacy of helping people and a dedication to prayer. A memorial Celebration of Life for Orlina will be held at 1:00 p.m. on November 16, 2013 at Gabaldon Mortuary, 1000 Old Coors Rd SW. In lieu of flowers, her wishes were that donations be made to the St. Jude's Children Hospital.

RAMBERG, ROBERT J. (BOB) Age 92, died on Tuesday, November 12, 2013 after a brief illness. Born John Lewis McGraw, September 30, 1921 in Norway, Michigan, to Gertrude (Charem) McGraw and John T. McGraw. He was adopted in 1922 by Christ and Jennie (Belsvik) Ramberg of Duluth, MN. He received his high school diploma from Central High School and studied Business Administration at Duluth Junior College before enlisting in the Army. Bob enlisted on August 10, 1942, graduated from Officer Candidate School, Fort Sill, OK, and served his country with honors during World War II. He was a veteran of the 30th Infantry Division and was very proud of his contributions in Northern France and Rhineland, the Ardennes and Central Europe. Bob was widowed twice. He was married to Eliza Ruth McMurry from December 1943 until her death in 1982. Together they had four children, three of whom he outlived. Son, Michael R. Ramberg 12/16/44-2/6/78, daughters, Toni E (Tena) LaBarthe 10/30/46-3/1/02, Regan T. Swinehart and Mindy C. Dinsmore 8/23/53-12/19/07. He married Lila Mae (Maloof) (Halusco) in 1983 and they made their home a warm and loving environment for all of their "kids." Lila passed away February 14, 2010. Bob took great pride in his marriages, with good reason. He also enjoyed success as a businessman and worked in varied fields throughout his career; finance, auto finance, salesman, and financial director for various Albuquerque firms. Bob is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Regan and Steve Swinehart, his step-son, Andrue Halusco, and numerous grandchildren, great- grandchildren, and great-great- grandchildren. In addition to the names listed above, he was preceded in death by his parents and siblings of Duluth, his step-daughter, Loretta Hefner, his grandson, Eric R. Poole, and a granddaughter, Lysah D. Stivers. The family is hosting a Wake in celebration of his life well-lived on Saturday, November 23, 2013 3:00 pm at Bob's home. YOUNG, GARY RICHARD Passed away of natural causes on October 17, 2013 after a successful double lung transplant a year earlier. He was an avid fisherman and outdoors's man, which lead him to his passion of geology. Gary moved to Albuquerque in the 1960s with a sense of adventure and follow an innate curiosity for the local geology. He and his wife founded Southwestern Minerals a long time fixture on Central Avenue. Gary was preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Olga Young and his children Gary Arthur and Angelia Maria Young. Gary leaves behind his loving wife of 50 years Priscilla Young. He also leaves behind his daughter and son-in-law Melisa and Michael Spaeth; grandchildren Jason Spaeth, David and Stephanie Young; and great-grandchildren Morgan and Grant Spaeth.
