IRVIN, RICHARD Richard Irvin, a native of Silver City, was laid to rest near his parents, William and Aurora (Lola) Irvin, in a private ceremony at Ft. Bayard National Cemetery on Thursday, November 7, 2013. He passed away suddenly of heart complications at home on October 29th. Richard was born September 13, 1946. He was an Army Vietnam war veteran and graduated from Albuquerque Technical-Vocational Institute (T-VI) where he studied Drafting and Machine Trades. He retired from Rust Tractor in Albuquerque in 2005 and returned to his home in Silver City. He is survived by Carmela Chavez Liberman, who he raised as his daughter; his goddaughters Ana McPherson and Monique Reyes; and many cousins and friends. His favorite pastimes were current events, deer hunting and helping others. We will miss his quiet strength and will be ever grateful for his generosity.
