CORE, NANCY ANN Age 65, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, NM, died Saturday, September 28, 2013. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Andy Core; daughters, Jane Core Yatzeck and husband, Jim Yatzeck of Williamsburg, VA and Susan Core and husband, Joe Kramer of Los Ranchos, NM; and grandchildren, Sarah, Andrew, and Naomi. Nancy Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Estaline Nations. Nancy attended Valley High School and was a member of the Viking Pride Marching Band that marched in the Rose Bowl Parade in 1965. She then went on to graduate from the University of New Mexico in 1970. She taught in the Albuquerque Public School system for 27 years. Nancy was active in the New Mexico State Fair throughout her life, raising cattle and horses, participating at the Home Arts Building with award winning recipes, and later as the superintendent of the Flower Building. She was a member of Master Gardeners, and active in Valley Gardeners and the Albuquerque Rose Society. Nancy was very proud to be a judge in both garden clubs and rose society. Services will be held Saturday, October 5, 2013, 2:00 p.m., at St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church, 601 Montano Rd NW 87107. There will be a potluck supper in the Parish Hall immediately following the service.
