CHAVEZ, BENNY J. "BOY" aka SUPERMAN, born October 29, 1957 an passed away on September 29, 2013 in Albuquerque, NM. With his family by his side he peacefully left this world to be with the Lord. Benny will be remembered as a loving, caring, and compassionate husband, son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He was a committed head cook/kitchen manager for the original La Hacienda Restaurant in Old Town for over 20 years. He is survived by his wife, Linda Chavez; mother, Mary Chavez; four children, Horetencia Chavez and fiance Phillip, Adella Avila and husband Phillip, Benny J. Chavez III and fiance Mady, and Gabriel Chavez. His pride and joy were his grandchildren, Breanna Avila, Phillip Avila Jr, Giovanna Chavez, Joshua Avila, Benny J Chavez IV, and Armando Chavez. He is also survived by his siblings, Barbara Archuleta and husband Ernest, Manuel Chavez and wife Diana, Joe Chavez and wife Roseanne, Theresita Chavez, Toby Barela and husband Timothy. A family viewing was held on 10/1/13 at Reflections Funeral Home. Services will be held at 9:30 AM on Friday 10/4/13 at Sacred Heart Church on the corner of 4th and Stover. A friend and family gathering will be held immediately following services at The Wool Warehouse, 518 First St NW, Albuquerque, NM 87102.
