ZIPPERIAN, H. AGNES Passed away in the early hours of 6 July 2013 of consequences of old age, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Agnes was born 10 August 1920 in Great Falls, Cascade, Montana to Joseph Frank and Kestina Caroline (Sjostrom) Steiner. She was the second of four children, all of whom preceded her in death. Agnes was married 1 April 1939 in Ft. Benton, Montana to Edmund Paul Zipperian. She and Ed were the proud parents of Joanna Paulette, Elaine Clare and Thomas Edmund Zipperian (Bobbie Mack). They raised their children in Great Falls and in Helena, Montana, and watched them graduate from college. Agnes dearly loved her three granddaughters, Megan Zipperian, Abbey (Ben) Wiltbank, and Heidi (Andrew) Harvey; and her 3 great- grandchildren, Kyndal Wiltbank, Devin Wiltbank and Ryan Harvey. They loved their Gigi, and will miss her, as will many beloved nieces and nephews and one sister-in-law, Bernice Steiner. Agnes graduated from Great Falls High School at age 16 and commenced a long and distinguished working career. She worked in various financial and executive positions for the Federal Housing Administration, the Building Material Dealers Association & Montana Retail Lumberman's Service, Inc., Superintendent of Public Instruction and the Governor's Office for the State of Montana. When Agnes retired in 1985, she was Clearinghouse Manager for the Montana State Office of Budget & Planning. Agnes was always an active volunteer for the Catholic Women, the Salvation Army and was a member of the Soroptimist International of America, a benevolent woman's business and professional organization for over 50 years. She was honored by the Heritage Soroptimist Club of Helena, Montana. After retiring, she provided office support for the Archie Bray Foundation for the Ceramic Arts in Helen and was on the Board of Directors for the Salvation Army in Helena. Agnes was preceded in death by her husband, Ed in 1978, after 39 years of marriage; by her parents (1965 and 1980); her sister, Alice Dea in 2010; and her brothers, Raymond Steiner in 1999 and Howard Steiner in 2000 and one sister-in-law. Cremation has taken place. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, July 12, 2013, 5:00 p.m. at FRENCH - Lomas. The family wishes any donations to be made to any organization supporting women and women's education, or the Salvation Army.
