SHANKS, JEROME P. 'GOOSE" age 59 of Albuquerque, passed away on Wednesday April 24, 2013. Goose was born on June 9, 1953 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Phillip P. and Eunice Shanks. He attended UNM and was an active forward with the Lobo Basketball team from 1976 to 1978, he went on to graduate with an associate's degree from Arizona Western Community College. After 26 years of public service he retired from the City of Albuquerque, following his retirement he enjoyed spending quality time with his family attending and supporting his children in their high school sports events. He is survived by his wife of 24 years Karen; his children Nikita Shanks and Jermaine Shanks; grandson Jacari and Brooklyn; granddaughter Jaelyn; Sisters Doris Brown, Eunice Rollins and Joyce Shanks. Preceding him in death was his sister Freddiemae and his brother Cary. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
