PURDUE, LOIS HOPE Musician, Wife, Mother, Teacher Lois passed away on Saturday, April 6, 2013. She was born in Cynthiana, IN in 1923 to John and Vercie Pearl Rutter. Lois could type 90 words per minute and became an excellent pianist while in high school. She met and married Clinton Harding Purdue in 1942, while they were attending Evansville Music College. They had their first son, T. Keith, in 1943. Clint was active in the US Army from 1943-1946, and during this time Lois worked at the P-47 Thunderbolt factory, keeping inventory of the airplane wings 10,000 parts on 3X5 cards. Clint and Lois had their second son, Gary Lynn, in 1947. The family moved to Albuquerque, NM in 1949, where Lois taught piano and organ. Lois was a lover of life and will always be an inspiration.
