ROMERO, ELSIE O. age 90, born in Cubero, NM in 1922, passed away on Friday. January 18, 2013 at Presbyterian/ Kaseman Hospice Center, with her loving family at her side. Mrs. Romero is survived by her children, Louisa Hernandez and husband, Isidro, Frances Chavez and husband, Bernie, Ronnie Romero and wife, Mela, Felix Romero and wife, Lisa, Bernadette Martinez and husband, Joe, Yolanda Romero, and Nora Maestas; sisters, Adelina Chavez of Grants, NM, and Lessie Torrez and husband, Roy of Apple Valley, CA; nineteen grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation will be Monday, January 21, 2013 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 562 Atrisco SW from 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the Cubero Cemetery.
