NOLAN, JOSEPH C. age 80, was born December 3, 1932 and passed away January 7, 2013. Mr. Nolan is survived by his beloved wife of fifty-four years, Carol; children, Mark J. Nolan and wife, Kathleen, Edna Nolan and partner, Lucretia Nolan, Patricia Rajala and husband, Bruce; grandchildren, Savanna Nolan, Matthew Nolan, Erin Davis, Bradley Rajala and wife, Nichole, John Hoffman and wife, Robin. Joseph was a Veteran of the U. S. Navy, and was attached as a Corpsman to the Marine Corp from 1951 until 1955, serving during the Korean Conflict. He was a dedicated Teacher for thirty-three years; he volunteered for over five thousand hours with Presbyterian Hospital; was an Extra Ordinary Minister of Communion at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church; and was a 4th Degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus. Joseph showed his love and compassion in all that he did. We are blessed to have known and loved him, and he will be greatly missed. Visitation will be Thursday, January 10, 2013 at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 5415 Fortuna NW from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Final visitation will Friday, January 11, 2013 from 10:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Committal Service will be at the Santa Fe National Cemetery on Monday, January 14, 2013 at 11:15 a.m. The family requests that donations be made to the Holy Rosary Kitchen Fund, The Santa Maria de la Vid Norbertine Abbey, and/or Ambercare Hospice.
