WALKER, JOHN LANCE Born 12-27-1939 Santa Rita, NM Lance died at home on Wednesday, January 2, 2013 after a battle with cancer. Lance was prceded in death by his twin brother Brian; mother Virginia; father Marshall; sister Karen and husband Don Wilder. He is survivied by his wife Sandra of 52 years; three wonderful daughters, Cherryl Jones, Deirdra Provencio (Tim), and Lynette Walker. Lance's joy in life were his grandkids, TJ, Matthew Provencio, Kacee Walker, Jaymie, Haylie Wenner and Daniel Wenner, Callie Jones and one great-grandchild Rowdy Neilson. Lance is also survived by his sister Sandra Rockwell (Phil). He had so many memories of his time he spent with his aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephwes and their children. Lance worked until June 2012 for Chardans mechanical. They say you should enjoy your work and the people you work with to have fun in life, he loved every minute of his time with Chardans. He was Albuq, bowler of the year, inducted into the Bowlers Hall of fame. He also bowled two 300 games in PBA tournments in Albuq, Santa Fe. He also loved to play golf. Lance made friends for life, he had stayed in touch with grade school, high school, bowling, golf buddies. He had their support everyday during is illness and he wanted to thank them. They made each day easier to face with a great big smile on his face. Memorial will be held Monday, January 7, 2013 at 2:00pm at St. Johns United Methodist Church, 2626 Arizona St NE. In lieu of flowers please donate to UNM Childrens Cancer Fund.
