RILEY, JO (OLLMAN) Age 68, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, January 2, 2013. An Albuquerque native, she was the second of four daughters born to Norman and Jean Ollman. Jo graduated from Sandia High, and then married Douglas Riley. Jo was a stay-at-home mom in her children's early years. She was constantly working on projects, teaching her children to be creative, resourceful and self-sufficient. As a non-traditional student, she set an example of stubborn dedication to a goal, graduating from nursing school in 1982 with three children in school. Later she received her Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing from California State University Dominguez Hills. Jo served as an emergency room nurse for many years, retiring in early 2011. In her free time, Jo enjoyed reading, crafts of all types and gardening. Jo's greatest joy came from her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Jo is survived by her husband of almost 50 years, Doug Riley; daughter, Deanna (John) Hawkins; son, Charles (Gwen) Riley; daughter, Erin Riley; grandchildren, Daniel, Haley, Kara, Alexandria, and Charles; great-grandchildren, Riley and Bear; sisters, Marinell (Henry) Bratzler, Jan (Robert) Walter, and Judy (Rod) Cullison; and in-laws, Judy (Wallace) Iverson and Misty (Bruce) Bradley. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other loved ones. A celebration of Jo's life will be held from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at FRENCH - Westside. We are grateful for the privilege of being part of her life, and will miss her terribly. Please visit our online guest book for Jo at www.FrenchFunerals.com.
