MORENO, NICHOL 1966-2012 Nicolette Ann Garcia also known as Nichol Moreno or "Nikki Sixx", age 46, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, October 28. Nichol was born August 23, 1966 and was raised in Belen, New Mexico and lived in Albuquerque, New Mexico for the past 28 years. Nichol was little Miss New Mexico at the age of nine years old, a cheerleader for Belen high school where she graduated in 1984 and a member of Holy Family Church. She worked for the County of Valencia for two years and then with the Department of Labor where she retired after 25 years. Nichol believed in living life to the fullest and was always the life of the party. She had fun at whatever she encountered, she was strong willed and willing to lend a helping hand to whoever needed it. She loved the outdoors, fishing, camping, traveling, and the Dallas Cowboys. Nichol will be greatly missed and never forgotten. She was a devoted daughter, sister, niece, auntie, cousin, friend and neighbor. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carlos Moreno; father, Tony "Red" Garcia; and niece, Jana Justin Garcia. Nichol is survived by her mother, Erlinda Garcia; sister, Magdalena "Maggie" Garcia; and brothers, Jose "Joey Hawaiian" Garcia and Andre "Dre Dog" Garcia. She is also survived by nephews and nieces, Enrica, Tiffany, Remigio "Remi", Luis and Felicia Rae Garcia; great-nephews and nieces, Jana Justin Martinez, Robert Chavez, Ron "Luis", Serenity Lynn Wilson, Aragon Budick, Katarina, Bear, Roman, Turk and Madrina; and her very special God mother, auntie Sylvia Garcia. Nichol was also blessed with 20 wonderful uncles, aunties and many cousins and friends. A Viewing will be held Sunday, November 4 at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church at 4:30p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 6:00 p.m. A Final Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 7 at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church at 11:30 a.m. with a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Belen Memorial Gardens. A reception will follow at the Eagle Recreation Center. Pallbearers will be her immediate nephews and nieces, Helen Gallegos, Leonella "Leo" Martinez, Cecilia "CC" Frank and Jackie Burgess.
