ALLEN -- RICHARD L. (RICK) of Los Ranchos, NM, died July 3, 2012. He is survived by his wife, Harriet Rayman Allen; daughter, Adabel Allen and husband, Topher House, of Albuquerque; mother-in-law, Phyllis Rayman; brother- and sister-in-law, Bruce and Sue Rayman; nephew, Dan (Angela) Rayman, and nephew Erik Rayman, all of Illinois. He is also survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Fred and Kathy Allen; niece and nephew Deirdre (Jack) Allen-Timmons of Seattle; nephew Don Allen of Seattle; and nephew Sam Allen of Albuquerque. Rick was born in 1939 and raised in Kansas. After graduating from Wichita State University with a degree in languages, he entered the U.S. Air Force, where he served as a Russian linguist and translator. He then launched a career in advertising as a copywriter and creative director. Rick won a CLIO and nearly 100 other awards from New York to Los Angeles to Albuquerque. His enthusiasm for life, and his fascination with science and the human mind, was always accompanied by his sense of humor and the time he enjoyed spending with family and friends.
