SERNA -- JUAN JOSE Age 70, of Rio Rancho, NM, peacefully left this world to join his patron Sacred Heart. He died at home on June 2, 2012 surrounded by his family. As a child, Juan grew up in the Barelas community and was a "Jack of All Trades" and was proud of it. He retired from Rainbo Bread after 25 years where he had made a lifetime of friends. He, also served as an usher and volunteer at St. John Vianney Church. He loved to fish and travel with his wife and his two grandsons. Juan is survived by his wife and lifetime date of 46 years, Rosemary; his two daughters, Patricia Ahlen and Josephine Serna; son-in-law, Eric Ahlen; and his two grandsons, Duncan Rosendo Jose Ahlen and Ian Miguel Ahlen. The Rosary will be recited at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 7, 2012 at Sacred Heart Catholic Parish, 309 Stover Ave SW, Albuquerque, NM. The Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 a.m., also at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Inurnment will follow at Vista Verde Memorial Park, 4310 Sara Road SE, Rio Rancho, NM. Pallbearers will be Duncan and Ian Ahlen, Joseph Jr. and Raymond Gurule. Honorary pallbearers will be Mark Garcia and Eddie Gurule.
