BOOTH -- CHARLOTTE M. Age 88, a resident of Albuquerque, went to be with her Lord, Saturday, June 2, 2012. She is survived by her children, Daniel E. Booth and wife, Loretta of Cedar Crest, NM, Richard Booth and wife, Sara of Edgewood, NM, Carl Douglas Booth and wife, Carla of Cedar Grove, NM; grandchildren, Vikki Wingerd and husband, Sam, Randie and Rick Booth, Kelly Jungling and husband, Dan, Toby Booth and wife, Nora, Jennifer Davis and husband, Tim, Alicia Booth and partner, Matt Losneck; 14 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandson; many other family including her sister, MaryJo Dawe and many friends. Mrs. Booth was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Carl Booth Jr., and her parents, Edward Vincent and Mary Edith Moran. She was a member of the League of Women Voters and "Sweet Adelines". Charlotte was an active member of Faith Chapel since she moved to Albuquerque when she was 11 years old. BUSTOS -- IDA L. age 79 of Albuquerque, NM. died peacefully on Monday June 4, 2012 in Los Alamos. She was born in Espanola in 1933 to the late Jacobo and Juanita Lujan, and worked with pride for many years as a sales representative for J.C. Penny. Ida was preceded in death by her parents; also by husband, Edward K. Bustos; brothers, Jacobo Lujan, Jr., Robert Lujan, Manuel Lujan, Ricardo Lujan, Dennis "Cheesy" Lujan, Filimon Lujan; and parents-in-law, Seledon and Federica Bustos. She is survived by son Edward G. Bustos of Albuquerque; brother Paul Lujan and wife Nancy of Espanola; sister Diolinda Herrera and husband Dennis of Espanola; several nieces, nephews and other family members. In the final chapter of her life, Ida was blessed by the dignified and gracious care provided by the staff at The Aspen Ridge Lodge of Los Alamos. All services will take place on Friday, June 8th beginning with the recitation of the Rosary at 10:00 A.M. in the chapel of Rivera Family Funeral Home in Espanola, followed by a committal service at 11:15 A.M. at The Santa Fe National Cemetery, where she will be respectfully laid to rest with her late husband Edward. CROSBY -- ROBERT W. a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, passed at age of 70 on June 3, 2012. Robert served in the U.S. Marine Corp for four years after his graduation from high school. Following his service with the Marine Corp, Robert entered the Albuquerque Police Force and served as an Officer while pursuing his degree in Criminology. Later in his career, Robert was promoted to Sergeant and served as a Detective in the Armed Robbery Division until his retirement in June, 1988. During his tenure with the Albuquerque Police Department, Robert implemented a pilot program known as the Field Services Impact Team. Robert was primarily responsible for writing the guidelines for the unit and placing the team into operation. The concept was implemented in three service areas and was highly successful in the areas of felony arrests, case clearances, investigations and court prosecutions. By his superiors, Robert was considered to be the best in his field and a valuable asset to the police department. After his retirement from the Albuquerque Police Department, Robert worked for the Albuquerque Public School System and implemented the Campus Security Aid Program which provides on site protection for faculty and students. Robert was a lifetime member of the Fraternal Order of Police. He is survived by his loving family - Belinda, his wife of 48 years; his son Bryan and daughter-in-law Stephanie of Molino, Florida; his daughter Carleen; and grandchildren Tyler, Samantha and Shelbi of Albuquerque. His passing is deeply mourned by his extended family of many nieces and nephews and the many friends he made during his lifetime. A Rosary will be recited prior to a Mass Celebration on June 8, at 11:00 AM at the Shrine of St.Bernadette Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial - 924 Menaul Blvd. N.E. Viewing will be held prior to the Rosary and Mass Service at the French Mortuary located at 110500 Lomas Blvd. N.E. between 9AM and 10AM.

FINSTON -- HOWARD V. DR. Age 88, a resident of Albuquerque, died Friday, June 1, 2012. He is survived by his daughter, Felicia Finston and son-in-law Lee Whaley; nephew, Ken Levy; and niece, Connie McVey. Howard was preceded in death by his wife Phyllis. He was a Labor Arbitrator, Professor, and former Dean of the Anderson School of Management at UNM. He will be remembered by his kind and impartial demeanor, his unique sense of humor and his love of jaguars. GASPERETTI -- ARMAND J. SR. died on Saturday, June 2, 2012. He was 94 years young. Armand and his wife, Gloria, were residents of Rio Rancho. He was born in Hollis, NY and was a WWII Veteran. Besides his wife, Gloria, he leaves behind his son, Armand, Jr. and his wife, Carol, and a daughter, Sharon E. Berzolla and her husband, Gary. He was the proud grandfather to John Berzolla (Lee) of NJ, Stev Berzolla of TN, and Rene Andersen (Jay) of NY. He was the great-grandfather to Addison and Liam. He was the proud owner and operator of J & G Hats, a ladies millinery shop. After closing the shop, he, also retired as a postal worker. In his younger years he enjoyed bowling, golf, philately, and was a member of the Elks. In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation to any veteran's organization. GOMEZ -- MARY ANN MARTINEZ age 69, passed away on Friday, June 1st, after an extended illness. Mary Ann is survived by her mother, Epifania Fresquez Martinez; her son, Scott Gomez; her granddaughter, Skyeler Baker-Gomez; Naomi Martinez; Renee Baker; and Khloe Rayner. Mary Ann was a proud New Mexican. She graduated from Loretto Academy in Santa Fe in 1960, represented New Mexico at the 1964 World's Fair in New York City and studied Political Science at Webster College. Mary Ann worked in Washington, D.C. for over 25 years as a presidential appointee for Ronald Reagan, George H. Bush and George W. Bush. During this time she held several positions including Deputy Regional Director of Dept. of Health and Human Services; Director of Constituent Affairs for the "Take Pride in America" initiative; and was a Director of H.U.D. Mary Ann worked closely with and was a friend of Manuel Lujan, Pete Dominici, Bill Redmond, Rudy Beserra, Lou Gallegos and Selma Sierra. Public visitation will begin on Wednesday, June 6, 2012, at 6:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. at St. Jude Thaddeus Parish in Albuquerque. HERRERA -- CHARLOTTE Age 96, beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother has been called home by Jesus her Savior. Charlotte is preceded in death by her spouse and son Roy. KELSAY -- KEVIN GARRETT age 51, beloved husband, father, son and brother, died Saturday June 2, 2012. He was preceded in death by his father, Norman Gordon Kelsay. He is survived by his loving wife, Lynnette and children Keane and Kameron. He is also survived by his mother, Frieda Kelsay; siblings, Stephanie Pendola, Cynthia Fitzpatrick, Laurie MacDonald, and Craig Kelsay; mother-in-law, Carmen Bennett; sister-in-law, Denise Olson; brother-in-law, Nick Vaquera; father-in-law, Steve Vaquera; as well as a large extended family who deeply mourn his passing. Kevin was a modest man gifted with artistic talent from birth. For 29 years he worked as a graphic artist at Honeywell until he was diagnosed with cancer; he was lovingly cared for at home by his family until his death. MILISA -- ANTHONY J. "TONY" Age 78, a resident of Albuquerque, died Saturday, June 2, 2012, after a long illness. He was the son of Anton J. Milisa Sr. and Johana Fabjian Milisa. Anthony is survived by wife, Joyce Milisa of Albuquerque, NM; daughters, Liz, Joanne, and son-in-law, Jeff; son, David. Mr. Milisa was preceded in death by his son, Mark, and siblings John, Jean, Helen, and Phyllis. He was happily married to his wife, Joyce for 55 years. He honorably served in the U.S. Air Force for 4 years and retired from the Federal Aviation Agency (FAA) after 33 years as an air traffic control supervisor. He was known as the "World's Best Pop" as well as a devoted family man. Services will be held on Monday, June 11, 2012, at 11:15 a.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery in Santa Fe, NM. NIBLOCK -- KAREN MARIE Karen, loving wife of Henry, a woman treasured by all in her extended family, lost her long struggle with breast cancer quietly and peacefully at home with loved ones by her side on Monday, May 28, 2012. Born Karen Marie Wheeler on September 23, 1950 in Sheridan, Wyoming, she was the daughter of Joel and Adeline Wheeler. Along with her husband, she is survived by her mother, Adeline; brother Joel and his wife Evelin; brother Jan and his wife Venetia; sister Kay and her husband Frank. She was an avid gardener and herbalist. She danced all her life, and was a children's dance instructor for many years. She enjoyed time spent at Heron lake over the years, swimming, hiking (often barefoot), and collecting plants for her tinctures and salves. She was an artist, a songbird, and a very caring soul. Karen simply loved all people, and her gentle and enthusiastic spirit touched those who met her. Shunning traditional western medicine, her life was a lesson in independence and inner strength. There will be a celebration of her life at a later date.

ROSSI -- JOSEPH LEON "JOE" He left this world the morning of June 2, 2012 after 89 3/4 (full) years of life. SCHWEGLER -- FRANCES (FRAN) died on Saturday, June 2, at the age of 65. Fran was born in New Orleans on September 15, 1946, and her parents were Anthony and Eileen (Brosette) Gambino. Fran married the love of her life, Terence L. Schwegler, and they celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary on Feb. 23rd of this year. The Air Force moved the Schwegler's to Albuquerque, and they settled in Bernalillo in 1979. Fran worked for social services from 1975 -1976, and then H & R Block as a tax consultant from 1977-1981. She then worked as a substitute teacher while attending UNM. Graduating from UNM in 1982 with a bachelor's degree in education, she went on to receive a master's degree in special education, specializing in learning and behavioral disorders. Passionate about teaching children to read, Fran was certified for K-12 and taught in the Acoma/Laguna Pueblo Schools, St Mary's and San Felipe Catholic schools, Santo Domingo Pueblo schools and Grants High School. Frances joined Hoffmantown Church with her husband in 1984, where she was a faithful servant with the Angel Tree Ministries, and she sponsored many children for summer camps. For the last year of her life, Fran worshiped with Monterey Baptist Church, where she was an active member of a Sunday school class. Fran was a breast cancer survivor, and she lived with Parkinson's Disease for over 23 years. Even though she had these health challenges, Fran remained very active with her friends, church and the community. She and Terry loved America, and they traveled to every state except Alaska. Of all her extensive foreign travels, Fran loved her trip to Jerusalem the most. As a teacher, a Girl Scout Troop leader, and a mother/stepmother of seven children, Fran adored and served children all of her adult life. "Well done, good and faithful servant." SERNA -- JUAN JOSE Age 70, of Rio Rancho, NM, peacefully left this world to join his patron Sacred Heart. He died at home on June 2, 2012 surrounded by his family. As a child, Juan grew up in the Barelas community and was a "Jack of All Trades" and was proud of it. He retired from Rainbo Bread after 25 years where he had made a lifetime of friends. He, also served as an usher and volunteer at St. John Vianney Church. He loved to fish and travel with his wife and his two grandsons. Juan is survived by his wife and lifetime date of 46 years, Rosemary; his two daughters, Patricia Ahlen and Josephine Serna; son-in-law, Eric Ahlen; and his two grandsons, Duncan Rosendo Jose Ahlen and Ian Miguel Ahlen. SISNEROS -- HENRY CHARLES Passed away Sunday, June 3, 2012 at the age of 84. Henry is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Corrine; son David, wife Linda, granddaughter Jennifer, great-grandson Andrew, daughter Nancy Padilla, husband Larry, granddaughter Lesley Escobar, son Richard, wife Janet, grandchildren Kimberly and Kevin, daughter Roberta Carl, husband Rod, granddaughter Audrey, daughter Cynthia Vetter, son Christopher, wife Tina, grandsons Mathew Henry and Jacob Paul, daughter Carolyn Harmon and husband Kevin. Born in Santa Fe, NM to Elisa and Carlos Sisneros, Henry was the eldest brother to Joe, Johnny, Lewis and Dolores Benavidez. At a young age he started working at Payless Drug to support his family. After graduating from Albuquerque High in 1946, he enlisted in the army where he fought for his country in the Korean War - fighting in the battle of Pork Chop Hill. He was a part of the 101st Infantry Division 45th Recon Company and a member of the American Legion Post 49. After surviving the war and a fire on his plane returning to the U.S, he was glad to be home. He began his family life and started his own business "Henry's Appliance Repair" and ended up retiring from Sandia Labs where we worked as an electrician. Though Henry was a larger than life personality he never met a stranger. Willing to tell stories of the war, his many UFO sightings, and life experiences to those that would listen, he was liked by many. He was a huge "Buy American" advocate who believed in supporting the economy of his country, he was a wealth of information and was very sharp with politics and world events. After retirement, Henry and Corrine put a lot of mileage on their car. Supporting their grandchildren, they went to countless cheer and dance competitions, soccer games, choral concerts, tae kwon do matches and musical theater performances. He thoroughly enjoyed all of the activities his grandchildren were a part of and this was his new full time job. He also spent a lot of time as his little brother Lewis' sidekick and advisor. Henry will be missed dearly by those who loved him, the many people he touched and ALL he encountered. SMITH -- JOAN ANNE Age 78, a resident of Albuquerque, NM passed away peacefully on Friday, June 1, 2012. She is survived by her daughter, JoAnne McEachren; son, John B. McEachren and wife, Catherine Lynette McEachren of Albuquerque, NM; her granddaughter, Shea Arrey and husband, Joseph Arrey; and great-grand girls, Taylor and Emily Arrey of Corona, CA; grandson, D.J. McEachren and girlfriend, Ivy Guthrie; and great-grandson, Evan Alexander McEachren; granddaughter, Sierra McEachren-Garcia and boyfriend, Jimmy Parmentier; granddaughter, Flowy D. McEachren-Garcia all of Albuquerque, NM; step-son, Robert F. Smith III and wife, Linda; and grandchildren, Cassie and Matthew of Garden City, Georgia. Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband, Sergeant-Major Robert F. Smith II (Smitty); her children's father, Master Sergeant Donald James McEachren; her father, John Delaney; and mother, Florence Delaney. Joan Anne Smith was born in Bolton, England on June 26, 1933. She moved to the United States in the late 1950's. She was a mother, a grandmother, and a granny and she loved her family. She will be missed more than words can say. STEVENS -- RAYMOND A. "RAY" December 14, 1916 - June 4, 2012 Passed from this earth on Monday, June 4, 2012, at the age of 95 at San Juan Regional Medical Center in Farmington. Ray was born December 14, 1916, the son of Art and Tillie Stevens. He grew up in Slayton, Minnesota before joining the Army Air Corps in 1940. While stationed at Sheppard Field in Wichita Falls, Texas he married Maurine Coker after a whirlwind romance of one month. Ray served his country in the Pacific Theater during World War II, and then in the Korean Conflict. After retiring from the Air Force in 1963, he taught school at Farmington High School. Later he taught at San Juan College and became a department head. Ray served at local, state and national levels for various civic, charitable, and educational organizations. In 2010 he received the Humanitarian of the Year award from the Farmington Chamber of Commerce. Ray leaves behind his beloved wife of 69 years, Maurine Stevens; sons Wesley Stevens, Harold Stevens and his wife Patt; daughter Joan Roberts and husband Randy; his brother Lloyd Stevens; four grandchildren, Seth and Caitlin Roberts, Leah Roberts, Casey and Gizem Stevens, Kenna Stevens; and one great-granddaughter Juniper Roberts; family friends Jimmy and Sylvia Miller, and many other friends and colleagues. Cremation will take place and memorial services for Ray will be held Thursday, June 7, at 1:00 p.m. at Brewer, Lee and Larkin Funeral Home, 103 East Ute Str. in Farmington with Rebecca Morgan officiating. Interment will take place at a later date at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe. In lieu of flowers, the Stevens family would like donations be made to San Juan College Scholarship Fund, 4601 College Blvd., Farmington, NM 87402 in Ray's memory. WAKEFIELD -- FELIX JR. passed away Saturday, June 2, 2012 at the age of 98. Felix was preceded in death by his wife Myrtle and his five brothers. He is survived by his daughter Joan Wakefield; two sons, William "Bil" Wakefield and his wife Carolie, Felix Wakefield III and his wife Beverly; eight grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild that cherished their Pappy. Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 6th at French - University Chapel, 1111 University, in Albuquerque from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. and Services will be held on Thursday, June 7th at French ~ University, 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Richard Clymer and Rev. Rick Lauer officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
