APODACA -- LEROY LEE Age 61, beloved father, grandfather, son, and brother passed away in Albuquerque, New Mexico on Saturday, March 3, 2012. He was born July 16, 1950, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Lee was preceded in death by his father, Cipriano Apodaca; his mother, Albertina Santillanes-Lopez; his brothers, Joe Apodaca, Lawrence Apodaca and Benny Apodaca. He is survived by his children, Naomi Swallows, Joe Apodaca, Yvette Wyskocil, Gabriel Apodaca and Monica Duran; his brothers, Adam Montoya, Daniel Apodaca, Albert Apodaca, Rick Apodaca, Rudy Apodaca, Marvin Apodaca and Robert Apodaca; his sisters, Hazel Fulgham, Cipriana Cake, Theresa Hernandez, Gloria Markham, Angela Brownsburger and Fermina Apodaca. Lee was a proud father and grandfather who loved his children and grandchildren. A free spirit, with beautiful hazel eyes, who loved to dance, fish, tell jokes, laugh, oldies, read, animals and life. A vet who joined the army while he was still under age and served his country with honor in the US Army; a welder who excelled at his trade; and a talented artist who also cared for those who have a free spirit. Caring, passionate, energetic, Lee will be deeply missed but forever remembered. A Memorial Service, celebrating his life, will be held at Calvary Chapel of Albuquerque HUB, 4001 Osuna Road NE on Friday, March 9, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. A private ceremony, where his ashes will be spread, will take place on Saturday, March 10, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in Algodones, NM at his favorite fishing spot.
