LEONARD -- RUPERT A. "LEN" JR. USAF, Lieutenant Colonel (Ret.), age 79, passed away Monday, Jan. 2, 2012. He resided at Lakeview Manor II Assisted Living Homes in Los Lunas. Rupert was born May 12, 1932 in Salisbury, NC, and a long time resident of Bosque Farms and Albuquerque, NM. He is survived by his wife, Peggy, of the family home; sons, Ron Leonard of Los Lunas, and Robert Leonard of Bosque Farms; daughter, Francy Fuhr of Germany; and two granddaughters of Germany. The family would like to thank Lakeview Manor II for their gentle care and prayers. They were very attentive to his needs. Also thank you to Noblin Funeral Service, who were very helpful to the family in decision making. Cremation has taken place and no services are planned. Interment will take place at a later date at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
